Welcome to Maya Devi Village
Namaste! and welcome to the Maya Devi Village website.

bbqMaya Devi Village is a family run restaurant, guest house and avtivity center based in Pokhara, Nepal. It is named after Buddha's mother and was constructed in a traditional style to blend in with its location in the foothills of the Nepal Himalaya.

Maya Devi was purchased in 2003 by three Englishmen, Scott Mason, Adam Hill and Graham Saunders-Griffiths, since when it has been expanded and developed true to its original theme. While maintaining the traditional design, each of the lodges has been extensively renovated and extended including the construction of bathrooms, second floor bedrooms and terraces. It is now home to an increasing number, with the original Englishmen, their families and a growing collection of birds of prey.

Run as a small guest house and offering tasty food in its restaurant, Maya Devi is set amongst verdant fields along the shores of Phewa Tal. It offers secluded boutique accommodation throughout the year in traditional round houses, providing a hideaway from the hustle and bustle of Lakeside.

Maya Devi Village is managed by Bhuphal and Bagwati Gurung (pictured above), with a little help from their two children Yukesh and Joya.
